What type of services do the caregivers provide? An Answer to Care refers Home Health Aides and Certified Nursesí Assistants who offer personal care services such as assistance with bathing, dressing, eating, light housekeeping, laundry, shopping and errands. We will also refer licensed nurses who can perform skilled nursing care requested by a clientís physician in compliance with Florida State Laws, such as wound care and medication administration.
How are caregivers screened? Caregivers must meet a number of screening requirements to be on our registry. These requirements include:
1. Take and pass a competency skills test.
2. Level 2 background screening which includes FBI and FDLE criminal††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††† background check.
3. Verified References
4. MVR Driving Check
5. License Verification
All caregivers carry Professional Liability Insurance
What are the rates charged for Caregiver Services? Rates are determined by the level of care needed and by the rate the caregiver that you choose requires. These rates will be discussed with you at the time of your FREE Consultation, or you can call our office for more information.
What Methods of Payment do you Accept? As a service to clients and caregivers, we can direct debit your account on a weekly basis so you donít have to worry about dealing with invoices. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Do you accept Insurance? If you have a Long Term Care Insurance Policy, we will verify benefits and invoice the insurance company on your behalf.
How do I know what kind of services I need? We offer a Complimentary Consultation Visit where our Community Relations Manager will sit with you and discuss your needs and the services we offer. She will also determine from you what you are looking for in a caregiver and any special requests you may have.
Do you have a minimum number of hours that I can receive services? We have a 3 hour minimum for hourly care, but we do offer a one hour visit rate where a caregiver could come for a visit to give a client a bath, do a medication reminder, or simply to check on a client. There is no requirement for how many days a week, or for any duration of services. Services can be temporary or long term for as little or as much as you need, up to and including around the clock care.
How soon can services be started? We can get you a caregiver within a few hours of your request; however, to find the best match, it may take a little longer. Our referral coordinators work immediately on every client service request looking for the most compatible caregiver to meet your needs.
What if I am not satisfied with my caregiverís services? Though we do our absolute best to refer the most compatible and qualified caregiver from the start, sometimes, personalities just do not fit. If you are not satisfied with your caregiver for any reason, simply call our office and we will find a suitable replacement. That is why we are here, and we will continue to refer qualified caregivers until you find the one that is just right for you!
